What is Lunar

Welcome

What is Lunar?

More than a cable park. A lifestyle destination bringing the water sports community together.

Welcome to Lunar

A Lifestyle Community on the Water

Since 2019, Lunar Cable Park has grown from a bold vision into a globally recognized destination for wakeboarding and water sports. Built around a WakeParX 5-tower cable system and a dedicated beginner cable, Lunar brings together riders, families, and adventure seekers in one of the most sun-blessed locations in Europe.

In 2020 we became the world's first fully adapted wakeboard facility, and have since been designated by the IWWF as a research center working toward Olympic standards ahead of Brisbane 2032. With a PMC Splash inflatable park, beach bar, and 8+ activities on site, we've welcomed over 10,000 athletes, clients, and federations from around the world.

Our Core

The Park

WakeParX Excellence

At the heart of Lunar lies a full-size WakeParX 5-tower cable system — the same technology trusted by world-class cable parks. An overhead cable pulls riders continuously around the 600m lake in a loop, delivering consistent speed and perfect conditions every single ride. No boat, no variable speeds — just smooth, reliable progression.

The course features 16+ full HDPE features designed by Shape — kickers, rails, sliders, and boxes for every skill level. Plus, our dedicated 2-pulley beginner cable provides a controlled straight-line experience widely recognized as the best way to learn. Start on the 2.0, graduate to the 5.0 — that's the Lunar progression path.

Located in Cuevas del Almanzora

Nestled in Cuevas del Almanzora, Almería, Lunar benefits from a stunning natural setting. The Mediterranean climate means year-round riding, while the beautiful lakeside location creates an atmosphere that's both exhilarating and peaceful.

Close to Almería city yet removed from urban chaos, Lunar offers the perfect balance—easy to reach, but immersed in natural beauty. The location attracts visitors from across Europe who come to experience not just the sports, but the lifestyle and community we've built.

It's perfect for families, groups, and anyone looking for water-based fun. Life jackets provided, always supervised, and you choose your own route through the park.
